Establish a list of “entry-level” ministries. These will be places of service that are not doctrinally or informationally sensitive. The Sunday School class is the perfect place for a person to begin their service in the church. One survey revealed the importance of finding a place of service—two things must occur if persons are to be assimilated into the life of the church: (1) within a month, they must begin a relationship with some small group—preferably a Sunday School class, (2) within 3-6 months, they must have some place of service in the church.
